
We are always striving to improve the SEPA XML GENERATOR App and sometimes you are forced into change!
Many of our clients throughout Europe have been receiving letters of notification regarding the mandatory changes to SEPA file formats for Direct Debits and Credit Transfers, specificially the upgrade to SEPA ISO 20022 and formatted client and customer addresses.
Such as this SEPA ISO 20022 letter example from AIB in Ireland:

Essentially the changes relate to the address fields, the move away from unstructured addresses to structured addresses. In the past a file with a Country Code was sufficient to pass, this is no longer accepted from November 2026.
